Julia Wine Bottle Shock Bloc F

Well – here’s about the easiest review I’ve yet had to do:  Stinker

- good night, thanks for coming.

OK – I’ll put in a little effort, but it won’t be nice. I’ve been very lucky to have been tasting many wines these past few months. This is the first time I stick my nose in a glass and pull back thinking – what the heck was that? Rubber? no not quite…another whiff..ashtray? not quite..can’t quite put my finger on it – but it ain’t good. And the taste? Grippy tannins feel out of place because they aren’t in harmony with nice fruit. It’s trying to make some kind of statement but there is just no quality to back it up so it’s just disjointed. And speaking of disjointed, the company doesn’t even bother to put an image of their wine on their website. So if they don’t care – why should we?

Don’t buy this wine. That clear enough? That makes 0 for 2 on the Bottle Shock wines. Both the Bottle Shock B and Bloc F get a D (don’t buy) rating from me. It’s not 100% bad news for Julia Wine though, I did enjoy their French Nose #3.

This Wine’s Grade
D
